There are certain reserved words that cannot be used to name tasks and containers in Kivati. This article provides a list of these reserved words.
Kivati's task and container infrastructure is based on files and folders on Microsoft Windows. Windows imposes some restrictions on the names of files and folders, and Kivati also imposes some additional restrictions as well (letters, numbers, and underscore characters only). These limitations are documented in Kivati's online help.
In addition to these limitations, there are also several reserved keywords that cannot be used as task or container names. These are:
- CON
- PRN
- AUX
- NUL
- COM1
- COM2
- COM3
- COM4
- COM5
- COM6
- COM7
- COM8
- COM9
- LPT1
- LPT2
- LPT3
- LPT4
- LPT5
- LPT6
- LPT7
- LPT8
- LPT9
If you try to name a task or container one of these reserved words, you will receive an error message.
This behavior is by design in this version of Kivati Studio. As a workaround, choose another name for your task/container.
