Troubleshooting activation

This article describes some ways in which you can troubleshoot a failed activation of Kivati.

Details

To use Kivati, you must activate it.  Activation requires either an active internet connection or an email activation code (email activation codes are not available for trial keys). 

If you encounter an error during the activation process, try the following:

  • Ensure you are connected to the internet.  You must have a valid internet connection to perform activation.  To test your connection, try connecting to our web site at http://www.kivati.com.
  • Verify firewall settings.  Kivati requires outbound SSL connectivity to our servers in order to perform activation.  To test SSL connectivity, try connecting to https://www.kivati.net/kcom/myaccount.
  • Check product key entry.  On the activation screen, check the box to manually enter a product key and verify that the next screen contains your product key as you received it.  Correct the product key and retry activation.
  • Check trial expiration (applies to trial keys only).  Log into My Account at https://www.kivati.net/kcom/myaccount.  If your trial key is still valid, it will list the key and the date on which it will expire.  If your key is no longer valid, it will no longer be listed.
